Area 30 Career Center awards a total of approximately $18,000 annually to high school seniors for post-secondary education, workforce certifications or equipment, and military expenses. The scholarship awards are based on academic performance, Area 30 activities, awards, accomplishments and teachers’ recommendations. Applications for these scholarships are available in the month of February of each school year and recipients are presented with their scholarship at our Senior Awards Program in May.
The Area 30 scholarship account is funded by generous donations from our local businesses and community members. Sponsors and players of our annual scholarship golf outing provide the major share of our funds and we look forward to seeing our community at this event each year. The Nunley/Bone Scholarship is funded by our own Area 30 staff in honor of our dedicated directors, Chad Nunley and Sharon Bone.
If you are interested in helping provide this vital funding a donation to our scholarship program can be made simply by calling Area 30 Career Center or mailing your donation to the address below. All donations are tax deductible and will be publicly acknowledged through social media and during our senior awards program.
If you or your business are interested in establishing a named Scholarship that will be presented in honor or memory of someone or for a focused career path we are happy to set this up. You may contact our Executive Director, Chad Nunley for more information at cnunley@area30.k12.in.us or 765-653-3515 ext. 2108
